No matter who you are, everyone LOVES Smokey Eyes! Simply adjust this technique of achieving the perfect smokey eye to your eye shape and colour choices to create your perfect look. This blog post will show you a step-to-step guide on creating the basic smokey eyes. Remember, you can customise these steps to create something new such as smokey eyes using bright colours etc.

STEP ONE: PRIMER
In order for your make up to go on smoothly and last a longer period prime your eyelid with some eye primer.
STEP TWO: BASE COLOUR
Pick your base colour and cover your whole lid with it. It should be a medium colour. For example if you are just using the colours brown and dark brown the base colour should be brown as it is lighter.
STEP THREE: OUTER CORNER
Using a darker colour than the one you used as the base (such as dark brown) place it in the outer corner of your lid and blend it towards the outer middle of the lid. Please refer to picture below to get more of an understanding.
STEP FOUR: LINER
Using a black eyeliner pencil, gel pot or pen - line your top lid.
STEP FIVE: (optional)
Using either the same liner in step four or the eye shadow used as your base line your bottom eyelid with a pencil brush.
