Autumn Palette

Welcome back beauties! The Autumn leaves are beginning to fall, and whilst the chill is coming, it's easy to find beauty in the nature that surrounds us. Autumn is a season that is not too hot yet not too cold. A season perfect for a hint of warmer toned makeup which we will show you in a few simple steps!

No spring nor summer beauty

hath such grace as i have

seen in one autumnal face.

This blog will allow you to steal Rosalina Young's makeup look, as in the photo below. A perfect Autumn look! Comment below

Step 1:

Apply an eye concealer eg. Clinique eye concealer to your under eye area as well as blemishes, this type of concealer prevents it from sinking into cracks/wrinkles, making them appear larger.

Dont forget, as seen in our Basics blog 1, you should have applied primer at the beginning and foundation at the end to create a smooth base for your face.

Step 2:

Contour, highlight and lightly apply blush to your face following our Basics blog 2.
For this look we want to have the bronzer and blush slightly darker than our skin tone. Not too much as we don't want to drag the attention away from the eyes and lips.

Step 3:

Apply an eyelid primer.

*note: If you have run out or don't have an eye primer you could always put foundation on your eyelids to prime them.

Step 4:

Now we're up to the eyeshadow! To create this look we start with the base, use Urban Decay 24/7 eyeshadow pencil in the colour Bake. Blend!

For the outer corners of your eyes apply same brand of pencil but in the colour Randsom, which will also serves as a base. Then use your pinky to smudge the base you just created and highlight the inner corner of your eye with the colour Midnight Cowboy

Using a brush, blend a bit of the colour Copper to a bit of the highlight you just created while blending a bit further outward and on the crease of your eyes.

On the mid-section of your eye lid apply Goldilux loose eyeshadow by Sugarpill and blend into the copper colour.

Take the purple colour by Sugarpill and pat into the outer corners of your eyes, pulling the colour in and out to blend.

Take a red and pat into the outer corners of eyes and blend out to create a cranberry/black cherry colour.

Step 5:

Create the flick shape of your eyeliner by outlining it with liquid eyeliner. She uses  Lorac liquid liner pen.

Fill in the outline with a gel eyeliner, such a Maybellline gel eyeliner in blackest black.

Check out our article on 'Liquid Eyeliner' for helpful hints

Step 6:

Apply mascara to your eyelashes.

Step 7:

Outline your lips with a purple-red lip liner pencil.

Step 8:

Apply lipstick while smiling so it gets into all creases, she uses Black Dahlia lip tar by OCC (below)

And there we have it, your new Autumn look is complete!
